Creating a Sustainable Legacy
Here at Laid with Love, we are lucky to live and work in some of the most beautiful British countryside. As caretakers of our landscape, sustainable issues have always been part of our core ethos.
From planting trees, reducing energy usage and recycling, to supporting rural economies and reducing our carbon footprint, we always strive to do more.
Enriching our habitats:
Each farm has over 2,000 trees and a rich array of flora and fauna. That’s because we’ve planted over 157,000 trees and shrubs – and we are continuously planting more…..
Reducing our carbon footprint:
Each of our trees will use up ½ tonne of CO2 per year when mature. All our hen houses are naturally ventilated – saving up to 70% energy. We became carbon neutral in 2016, making our egg packing station the first carbon neutral egg packing station in the UK.
Sustaining our rural life:
It’s good to know that 70% of our turnover goes back into the local economy. Many of our staff can walk to work and we make a conscious effort to source locally where possible…
